Cotic Renews Jeht Trail Bike With More Travel and MX Wheels
BRR Analysis
Cotic, the British steel frame specialist, has announced a significant update to its popular Jeht trail bike. The refreshed model now boasts increased suspension travel, moving to 160mm at the front and 155mm at the rear, up from its previous 150/140mm configuration. Crucially, Cotic has also adopted a 'mullet' wheel setup, pairing a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, a departure from the previous 29er-only option.
This evolution of the Jeht reflects a broader industry trend towards more aggressive trail bikes and the growing acceptance of mixed-wheel configurations, particularly for riders seeking a blend of rollover capability and agility. Cotic, known for its durable, ride-focused steel frames, is clearly responding to consumer demand and competitive pressures, ensuring their offering remains relevant in a crowded market segment increasingly dominated by longer travel and progressive geometry.
Cotic's move to embrace more travel and mixed wheels isn't revolutionary, but rather a pragmatic adaptation, ensuring the Jeht remains a compelling choice for those who value steel's ride quality without sacrificing modern trail performance.
